| About Me |
I have been involved in sports most of my life, competing at an amateur level;
including 100 meter sprint (competed at provincial and the US State level),
Martial Arts (before MMA was popular, circa 1982, I had completed 4 systems and competed in California, Iowa and later Alberta).
Bodybuilding started to hold an interest for me in 2000 and went from 155lbs to 190 fat lbs. Following muscle magazines and any other nutritional advice, I plumped up nicely 🙂 With the help of Brian and Donna Logue I competed in Provincial shows in Alberta with moderate success at 180lbs.
Working with another trainer, determined to break and compete at 198lbs preparing for the 2008 Brian and Donna Logue Alberta Provincial Championship I suffered a complete tear of my bicep tendon. After surgery, life interventions, and a reevaluation of what I want at 50 I was determined never to use unqualified "advisors" again. I completed my Registered Massage Therapy course to learn more about mechanics, physiology, and anatomy and was on the lookout for someone with education and who leads "the life" eventually this lead to Ben Pakulski, who appeared to use a scientific approach to building muscle, rather than "Bro-Science" and had the education and time in the trenches.
I doubt I will step on stage again but will look like I can and more importantly will have health and be injury free. |
